Goals for the Tillinghast Surname DNA Project

The Tillinghast Surname DNA Project was established to create a growing database of DNA profiles of Tillinghast lineages to aid in genealogical research.
We hope that the project will grow rapidly and that each participant will contribute important information and make previously unknown connections which will enhance our knowledge about Tillinghast heritage.Anyone with the last name of Tillinghast (or variant thereof) is encouraged to join.

Our goal is to find the common ancestors of the first known Tillinghast to emigrate to the United States, Elder Pardon Tillinghast, who left Streat, Sussex, England and arrived in Rhode Island by 1645. We would like to follow the descendants of Pardon Tillinghast in the United States as well as his ancestors who remained in England.

[Participants will be submitting pedigrees which will go here]
