About us

The raw results from the tests completed thus far are shown below. For privacy reasons, participant names and lab kit ID's are not shown on this public web page. You can use the horizontal scroll bar to view the entire width of each table. In the bottom row: - Column 1 is a participant number that is of no particular use. - Column 2 is a code identifying the haplogroup as deduced from nine standard markers. For example, a plurality of men of Western European origin are in haplogroup R1b. See: http://www.familytreedna.com/ftGroupQIGuide.html#Member2 A dash indicates that the haplogroup determination was not definitive. The haplogroup is irrelevant when determining the recency of common ancestors of specific individuals. - The next 12 columns contain the results of the 12-marker test. - The last 25 columns contain the rest of the results of the 37-marker test. The first participant with 37 markers is the Tesler surname project administrator. He is a descendant of a Tesler from the town of Satanov/Satinov in Ukraine. A carpenter named Tesler was known to have lived in that town around 1800.
