About us
The Tankersley/Tanksley DNA Project has a main goal of further proving the origins of Tankersleys/Tanksleys worldwide, including families in United States, Australia, New Zealand, England, Ireland, and Scotland to name a few. Additional project goals include providing inclusion of Mitochondrial DNA (MtDNA) for females born by Tankersley women (Tankersley is the biological mothers maiden name), and to provide a path for those Tankersley descendants who are planning on Autosomal DNA testing (AtDNA), or those who have already engaged in Autosomal DNA testing. The goal is to provide a customized page for the AtDNA test results among members, given the format of Family Tree DNA does not include sections for these test results.
