This project is testing the Y chromosome. All men with Surname SWAIM are invited to participate. Also any man with a variant spelling of the surname, such as Swim, Swims, Sweem, Swayme, Swem, etc. We are also including VAN PELT men in this project. Old research claimed that the SWAIM family came from the VAN PELT family. There are some SWAINs whose ancestors are SWAIM and changed the surname to SWAIN.
