Approximately seven to twelve researchers who share a variant spelling of the name Somerauer have been sharing information for the past 10-20 years. Most of us have been able to find our ancestry back to three siblings who originated in either Switzerland or Germany, and who came to Philadelphia between 1743 to 1748. Their ship, Patience, left Rotterdam, with a stopover at Cowes, England before landing in Philadephia later that year.
