A 37-marker test would put the time frame of the most recent common ancestor at 50% probability of 2-3 generations, 90% probability of 5 generations and 95% of 7 generations. The 67-marker Y-DNA test would put the time frame of the most recent ancestor at 50% probability of 2 generations and 95% of 6 generations.  The 111-marker Y-DNA test puts the time frame of the most recent common ancestor even closer.
