Skiles/Skyles surname group hopes to identify a distinctive family line that will lead back to Thomas Shial, the immigrant, who lived in 17th century Somerset County Maryland. This will at least give genetic proof of relationship of the various Skiles clans that have faced dead ends in their paper trails.
