Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) have been returned for a female-line descendant of Nancy SKAGGS, b. 1783, VA, d. 1840, Grayson Co., KY. Nancy was the daughter of Lucy THOMPSON & Charles SKAGGS. Lucy THOMPSON was the daughter of Mary & John THOMPSON.

Results reveal Nancy's Haplogroup to be U5, and more likely, U5b, or U5b2, which is referred to as Ursula in Dr. Bryan Sykes's treatise "Seven Daughters of Eve."
