1. Determine DNA profile of all Swisher/Switzer lines that have roots in VA/WV 2. Establish Immigrant Ancestor DNA profiles 3. Verify family line traditions of origin by DNA comparison and settlement patterns not confirmed in records. 4. Obtain corroborating results of at least two lineal descendents from any given ancestor. 5. Complete testing of all VA/WV lines by January 2007 and issue a Project Report. We have set back this report as we need but two samples from two of the important early VA lines- we now have two family researchers assisting in finding two members to help by providing DNA samples. 6. Submit all DNA data to a qualified laboratory to obtain a genetic distancing report on possible related lines and ancestors.
