About us
The current project goal has two parts: 1. To find at least two other interested people who are will to participate in this testing. They need to be descendants of Martin Scholderer who died in 1635 in the town of Remmingsheim, Germany. This will help to establish a baseline set of values for this branch of the Scholderer family. 2. Then to find another individual that is a descendant of a Scholderer family from the town of Rosenfeld, Germany to be tested. Then with these tests it should be possible to determine if Martin Scholderer (died 1635 in Remmingsheim) is the same person as Martinus Scholderer (born 1600 in Rosenfeld). There has been some indication that they are the same person, but no paper trail has yet been found to validate this possibility. Through the use of DNA testing we can determine if the families of these two different towns are related and that Martin and Martinus are most likely the same person.
