This project is open to anyone who can trace their mtDNA or yDNA lineage with documentation back to district in Saarland, Germany known as Landkreis Sankt Wendel. Some villages in this district are: Sankt Wendel, Bliesen, Namborn, Tholey, Oberthal, Winterbach. If you are a new yDNA participant we ask that you join this project concurrently with the Germany yDNA project which is also hosted by Family Tree DNA.
