Samis, Sammis, Sames, Sammes, Samwais, Samways, or any other reasonable spelling variation are welcome to join the Samis DNA Project. Only males have Y-chromosomes, so only Samis (or variant spelling) males can participate. If you are female, you can have a male Samis relative submit a sample of his Y-DNA for your Samis line. To participate, meaningfully, testees will need to share their direct male line ancestry back to the earliest known Samis in the form of a Ahnentafel-Direct Line chart. Please submit your Ahnentafel chart to the Samis DNA Project Administrator.
