1) Identify and categorize various, distinct Rothwell, Rathwell and variant surname genetic lines.

2) Help project participants determine to which Rothwell, Rathwell and variant surname line they belong.

3) Determine to what extent various Irish and Great Britain lines are in fact one and the same.

4) Determine were Ireland and Great Britain genetic lines originated. (See "Background" tab for example theories that will be tested.)
