Morgan J. Ririe has been trying to locate and add to a Ririe computer database, every Ririe in the world he can locate and record. He has established about six lines of Riries, all of which go back to Aberdeen County in Scotland within a radius of about forty miles. This would seem to indicate that all of these lines share a common ancestor. The records currently available do not go far enough back to establish this common ancestor and this project should help determine our relationship and collateral relationships. DNA testing has shown four of the lines do share a common ancestor.
