About us
The members of the Rem/Rehm family who were priests or scholars in the Catholic Church began to use the name Remus in about 1500. Following the reformation, the Remus name became common amongst the Lutherans also, particularly in Saxony. Major migrations of the Remus family out of Saxony started in the late 1500's into Neumark, Pommern, and West Prussia in what is now Poland. The link above leads you mainly to information about the Remus family of West Prussia and to some Remus family members in Augsburg, Saxony, and Danzig.
