The purpose of Y-DNA testing is to establish the geographic origin and ethnicity of our ancestors and to discover the connections between the various branches of our family. This wonderful "new" science will help to prove or disprove relationships that have been handed down within individual branches of our family and/or for which a proven paper trail has not been established.
