About us

R-CTS3655 represents a shared ancestor who emerged ca. 1600 BCE (during the Bronze Age). This haplogroup shows a clear connection to those who, during a significant period of migration, began to move from mainland Europe to populate what is now the UK and Ireland. There are a number of significant "clusters" under the haplogroup, to include Clan Kininmont (R-FT402621+), Clan Britton/Galbraith (R-BY68779+), Clan Grant (R-BY2667+), Clan Muir/Mure (R-BY3374+), the Devon Cluster (R-BY3989+), Welsh Cluster (R-FT402621+), at least one Viking Age displacement (R-BY40699), and others. Archeological digs have also connected our group with remains at Suddern Farm, Hampshire, England (Suddern Farm 16611, dating between 401 - 206 BCE), Sint-Truiden, Belgium (Sint-Truiden 139, dated ca 700 - 1000 CE), and the Battle of Camden, South Carolina (Camden 9B, 1780 CE).
