A group for all those of Punjabi ethnicity regardless of whether you originate from India or Pakistan. Users are encouraged to post questions if they are not sure of anything. I the admin have some minor relevant insight into genetics and would be happy to advise you of what testing you might wish to pursue depending on your needs, just make a post on the front wall, otherwise email me if you wish to discuss anything privately. At this point I don't feel it is necessary to enable advanced sharing of testing data unless you wish to query something with myself. If you're Punjabi and your surname is missing from the search criteria ie under the surname section, please let me know and I will update it so that other members like you can better find this group and so that you may accrue more relevant matches in future (FTDNA have lower matching thresholds between members of the same projects). This is not my personal vanity group, I started this group with the hope that somebody academic with more expertise and insight can realise the potential of the anthropological data of our members as some other groups on FTDNA have already like Prof. Mark Jobling (University of Leicester) has done for Post-Roman Britain on here. Accordingly I will eventually relinquish this group to those more apt and capable of doing this topic the justice it deserves.
