Welcome to the Punchard DNA project. This project is open to every male who has taken a Y-DNA test at FamilyTreeDNA and has any variant of the surname, for example: Puncher, Pinchard, Ponsard, Pinchart, Ponchard, Ponchart, etc. The Y-DNA test tells you about your direct paternal line, which would be your father, your father's father, your father's father's father, and so on back in time. You must be male to take this test. If you believe there is a Punchard (or other variant) in your direct male line, although you have a different surname, you are also welcome to participate. If you are female, please find a male in your family tree to participate.
