The purpose of the project: "Research on DNA genealogy of Pontic Greeks, whose ancestors came from Pontus, as well as from different regions of Erzurum, Pasenlir, Horasan, Kars, Erzincan, Bayburt and other regions, who are either Pontic Greek speaking (Romaioi) or Turkish speaking (Urums)". Also, the Project is open to residents of the Black Sea region whose ancestors spoke Rumeíka or associate themselves with the Greek culture.
