Pionke is a rare surname worldwide and has significant populations only in Poland, Germany, and the United States. It is evident that all Pionkes originate from the so-called Kashubian area in North Poland. Goals of the project are: • bring Pionkes and Pionke descendants together from all over the world • form a network and exchange information on the common family history • investigate on common roots by the usage of Y-DNA testing and conventional genealogy • support the preparation of a Pionke family chronicle
