The Perfect Y-DNA Project was initiated November 2005.
After a slow start, one of our project goals was achieved April 2007. A descendant of William Perfect (1747-1813) was tested. With a genetic distance of 19 and a haplogroup of j2, it showed that he was totally unrelated to the descendant of Robert Perfect (1750-1814). The result of the test was a total surprise and a disappointment to both families. More participation in this project is needed and would be greatly appreicated.
