About us
I envision several immediate goals for this project:
- Collect as many Y-DNA tests of Penn men on FTDNA as possible, to begin building a list of known Penn paternal lineages. If you are a Penn Y-DNA tester, please join, and invite anyone you match with to join!
- Collect as many Family Finder tests with close Penn connections as possible, to begin identifying autosomal DNA segments descending from known Penn ancestors, and seek to find any connections between various families and branches.
- We currently have testers representing four different, unrelated Y-DNA lineages, two from Virginia (Lineages 1 and 2), one from Maryland (Lineage 3), and one from New Jersey (Lineage 4). I would like to have more Penn testers in general to try to find more descendants of these groups, so please do your best to recruit other members!
