About us
The Bleifer/Blafergenetic haplotype places our origin in North Africa and the Middle East. The existing family has its modern origin in Ukraine. The family surname is strange in that it is not Russian, Yiddish, or found in any language name group. The 'ei'dipthong in the name is pronounced as 'ei' in eight. The only other Bleifer families known to me had its origin in Krakow Poland area or old England and they are not related to us.
The Blafer public website on www.Geni.com includes information for the eight grandparent lineages of Deanna Goldstein Blafer and Jerome L. Blafer: Blafer (Bleifer), Bein, Chalek (Chalick, Cheilek, Chalik), Cutler (Catler), Groveman (Gruvman, Grovman, Gruverman), Goldstein/Zoltkevitz (Zalatkevitz), Goldstein/Sczupakiewicz (Schupakevitz), Kutcher (Kuczer), and Steisel.
