About us

15 Offleys, 4 Offilers, 1 Offler, 1 Offlow, 1 Richards, 1 Crewe-Read, 1 Soward and 1 Affley have been tested. Two Offleys were found to be related and have been assigned to group ‘A01 – Bedfordshire’. Two Staffordshire Offleys have matched one another as expected and have been assigned to group ‘A02 – Staffs Central’. Two Offilers, one Offlow and one Offley have matched each another showing that they descend from a common Derbyshire ancestor. They have been assigned to group ‘A03 – Derby’s border’. Testing has confirmed that six Offleys, who we expected to belong to the Huntingdonshire branch of the family, do indeed all descend from John of Fenstanton (d. 1586). They have been assigned to group ‘A04 – Huntingdonshire’. One Staffordshire Offley tested proves to be unrelated to the other Staffordshire Offleys and has been assigned to group ‘A05 – Staffs South’. The one Derbyshire Offler tested proves to be unrelated to anyone else and has been assigned to group ‘A06 – Derby’s central’. The one Staffordshire Crewe-Read tested matches an Offley tested but together they do not match other Staffordshire Offleys. They have been assigned to group ‘A07 – Staffs North’. The one Affley tested shows that he is unrelated to anyone else and has been allocated to group ‘A08 – Glamorganshire”. Two Offleys tested in the USA do not relate to each other or to anyone else tested so far. One has been allocated to group ‘A09 – Massachusetts’ while the other remains unallocated at present. Two Offilers tested do not match the other Offilers tested probably because their mother remarried. They have been assigned to group ‘I02 – Mar. Of Mother’. Mr Richards’ test results show that he is unrelated to anyone else tested so far and his results remain unallocated. Mr Sowards’ test results show that he is unrelated to anyone else tested so far and his results remain unallocated.
