About us

We are attempting to fit several Naar family branches into the tree that describes the migration of Sephardic Jews from Spain and Portugal in 1492. They fled to all parts of the globe in the next few centuries with major concentrations in Greece, Holland, England, Turkey, St. Thomas, Curaçao and Jamaica, Australia, Peru, Colombia and eventually to the United States and Israel. Our research starts with a wonderful family tree belonging to the Naar family who is descended from Isaac Naar of Spain. Another Naar family, whose ancestors are from Salonika, Greece, has joined in the quest to discover where they fit in on this family tree.
