22 July 2015 - This Geographic Project was approved by FamilyTreeDNA as the Pre-Great Famine Munster Ireland DNA Project, accepting autosomal as well as Y testers.
8 March 2024 - The geographic project was expanded to include all of the south half of Ireland; south of the Esker Riada : Munster plus south Leinster, south Dublin and far south Connacht.
