Aug 2004: The resuts of the first two tests were disappointing to the participants but did establish that two families with the same surname living in close proximity to each other are not necessarily related. The families of John and Thomas Mumford had similar naming patterns and lived less than five miles apart. In addition John had married in the same Church as Thomas' daughter did a few years later.
Feb 2005: DNA testing was put to a different use when Kit # 32559 was purchased by a gentleman hoping to trace his father's ancestry. Conventional research has not provided any tangible results to date. We wish him the best of luck.
