The purpose is to determine how and to what extent all the Minovitz/Minovitch families are related. The following surnames are most common: Minovitch, Minovitz, Minowitz, Minevich.

UNCONFIRMED surnames may include:  Manevich, Mann, Martin, Menevich, Menivich, Menoff, Miniovitch, Minor, Minoff, Minot , Minott, Minov, Minow, Minton.

Family members were residents of the SE portion of Byelorussia including towns such as Brahin, Gomel, Kalinkovichi, Khoynicki (Chvanik, Malishov),Nachov, Narovlya, Ossipovichi, Petrikov, Rechitsa or the adjoining district/town of Mozyr. It is postulated the families originally came from northwestern Ukraine towns before surnames were required (prior to ~1815)
