This project is intended to expand our knowledge of the genealogy of the English surname, MILSTEAD, and its spelling variations, especially MILSTED, MILLSTEAD, and MILSTID. Males of these surnames are encouraged to join in the investigation.
To participate meaningfully, you will need to supply your direct-line male ancestry. You can probably find your ancestor at the Milstead Patriarch's Page. Just give us the name, birth date, and death date of your nearest relative and what your relationship to that person is (ex. grandson, great Grandson, etc) and we will do the rest. Females may participate by having a male MILSTEAD/MILSTED relative provide a sample for them.

Given enough samples from enough documented branches of the family, we may one day be able to solve some of the more lingering questions about how the various branches of the family are connected.
