MEO TRIBE
Project administrator Karamat Ullah Khan Meo is a member of the Meo tribe and lives in Pakistan.He took part in Geneolgy project of Deep ancestory and is declared member of Haplogroup R1a1.
Population of Meos' is roughly estimated around 10 million; living in India and Pakistan. They have been living there from last more than 10,000 years. Before 1947 their majority lived in Mewat (The Land of Meo's).Which is South-west of Delhi. A Large number of Meos lived in other states of undivided India ( UP, CP, Rajisthan, Rajputan, Sindh, Baluchistan, Bharatpur, Alwar, Punjab and So on.
Meos of the Sub-continent are closely-knit into a Pal system or pal origanization; goverened by patri-lineages. Organizational structure of the Meo community describes them into two groups.
1- Paliya Meos
2- Nepaliya Meos.
Paliya Meos distinguish themselves comprising of 5 Bans.i-e,
1. Jadu from Krishna (Duhlot, Chiraklot, Daimroth, Punglot, Nai)
2. Tanvar from Arjuna (Dairwaal,Rattavat,Balot,Ladhavat )
3. Kachvaha from Ram ( Dhaingal,Seengal / Bar'gujar )
others include Rathor(Kalisa), Chauhan( Pahat )
Meo Saints, Chuhar Sidh and Lal Das are both from Jadu Bans and same is true for Kairu-Pandu.
Historian say that other similar Surnames in different parts of the world have some relationship with Meo tribe of Indian Sub-continent.
They are also of the opinion that meo tribe is a very very old tribe and even father of several other tribes / nation of the world.

This result confirms the opinion of those historians who ar of the openion that Meo is the original name of human race who, populated the mahor parts of this planet including ME,Asia,Europe and Americas.This openion encouraged me to establish this Surname project to findout the genetic links not only with other tribes/surnames but also within Meo tribe of Indian sub-continent.

As per the present day Genetic data, our genetic trail of Haplogroup R1a1, ends to a man with Marker M17 of European origin born between 10,000 to 15,000 years ago on the grassy steppes in the region of the present day-Ukrain or Southern Russia.In my view Man wih marker M17 is the person with a shining face like The Sun or a very bright Star. and if this the case then HE CAN NOT BE OTHER THAN THE PERSON KNOWN IN THE HISTORY WITH THE NAME OF SIPTA MAONAH.In Sansikrit HE is called SIVETA an also called SOORAJ BANSI.This person is said to be "THE PROPHET OF THE ANCIENT PERSIA".AS-HAB-E-ARS" are also come from the same area where M17 belongs and they are also from the same human RACE.His descendants (Part of the Indo-European clan) eventually spread as far as India and Iceland. They are the first to domesticate the * horse * and may be responsible for the brith and spread of the Indo-european languages (English,French,German,Russian,Spanish,Bengali,Hindi and numerous others). Kurgan may have been descendants of M17.
40% of the men living from Czech across to Siberia,throughout Central Asia. 35% in Urdu/Hindi speaking population ( Pakistan and North India) are descendants of M17. This adds weight that a larger migration from Asian steppes into India occured within last 10,000 years.
Middle East has only 5 to 10% descendants of M17 and same is true for Farsi speaking areas of Iran. But in East Iran, ratio is much higher which is again 35%.
Our next ancestor, a man born around 40,000 years ago in Iran or southern central Asia with marker M9 marked a new lineage,diverging from M89; Middle Eastern clan.
Descendants of M9 spent next 30,000 yrs populating much of the planet. Our ancestors continued their great journey towards " Pamir Knot" in present day Tajiskistan. Here they split into two groups. Our ancestors moved towards North into Central Asia,others moved South into what is now Pakistan and Indian sub-continent. The next man with a marker M45 born in Central Asia around 35,000 yrs ago was part of the Euroasian clan that moved Kazikistan, Uzbikistan and Southern Siberia.
Another man in this Clan having marker M207 is our ancestor next born 30,000 yrs ago in Central Asia. His descendatns split into two distinct groups. Our ancestors continued into the European Sub-continent and other turning South upto India.
Our Lineage falls within haplogroup, R1 and gives rise to the first modern humans to move into europe and colonized the Continent. As they continued to move west, a man born around 30,000 yrs ago in Central Asia gave rise to a lineage M173. This period, the Euroasian steppe lands extended from present day Germany and possibly France to Korea and China. Around 20,000 yrs ago the climate changed expanding Ice sheets forced our acestors to move South to Spain, Italy and the Balkans.
About 12,000 yrs ago temperature became warmer and many descendants of M173 moved North again to re-populate those places. Today descendants of M173 are in highest of number in western Europe,Northern France and British Islands.
