Brand New Melungeon DNA Study This project covers the migration of families often referred to and associated as being Melungeon descendants. The project covers their migration from western North Carolina, through Hawkins County TN, various parts of Southwest Virginia and many counties spread throughout Eastern Kentucky, with a focus on the main settlement located in Magoffin County, Kentucky.
