The Medley Surname DNA Project is a group of genealogy researchers who share a surname, or a genetic link to the surname, and who have joined together to use yDNA testing, paper trails, and research to identify those with whom they share a common ancestor.

Our goal is to find those whose yDNA test results match, to compile the pedigrees of project members, and to work together to identify and extend our family lines. 

The Medley Project is open to anyone who is a Medley family researcher who has been DNA tested at FTDNA. 

The project uses only yDNA test results to find matches, as yDNA is passed down from father to son, just as the surname is passed down.  Other tests do not trace a single surname line.
