Getting past your brick wall
We are seeking males with the surname McCreary/McCrary/McCreery/McCready and other variants to join our project. If you've hit a brick wall in your McCreary research, joining our YDNA project is probably the best way to help you move forward with your research. So far we have discovered 11 different, unrelated, family lines even though we all share a variant of the same surname.
DNA testing (especially the 67 marker test) is a great tool for helping you to focus your research on the group of McCrearys/McCrarys/McCreerys/McCreadys to whom you are actually related. If you are already certain of your pedigree, joining the project can be a tremendous help to those of your relatives who have hit a brick wall in their search for ancestors.

25) Martin H. McCreery, son of Andrew McCreery and Susanna Todd, likely brother to Joseph Todd McCreery (above) b. 1804 Fayette Co. KY, enumerated White Co. IL 1830 and Edwards Co. IL 1840, 1850, etc. moved back to White Co. IL 1871 d. age 82 yrs.
