One of the goals of this surname project is to find members that are interested the McCrodan family history and want to further their knowledge of such, through the use of cutting-edge technology and science.

Another is to explore the link between McCrodan and McCrudden - especially in County Monaghan, Ireland - through DNA testing.

As well, the link to the McCrodans of Michigan and through them, the McCrodans of Nevada, is a little tenuous as the common parenthood of James McCrodan and John McCrodan has not been confirmed by records. I'd like to make it more solid with DNA tests of any surviving male member of the family of William John McCrodan of Grand Rapids Michigan and/or Allen G. McCrodan of Nevada.
