The goals are to discover whether the colonists survived by comparing the DNA of the native people and the people of similar surnames with those of the colonists' families in England. This means a twofold project. First, the participants here need to test and provide their genealogy connecting them with Eastern NC in an early timeframe. Secondly, we need to research the families in England and find descendants of the colonists' families who will agree to test.
