Membership of this project is open to anyone – no matter what their surname – who believes or suspects they are patrilineal descendants of the Livingstons of Callendar, and has taken a Big-Y DNA test. The Livingstons of Callendar were a powerful dynasty on the lowlands of Scotland from the 12th century through to the 18th century. Their lands were confiscated, and their titles nullified, following their participation in the Jacobite Uprising of 1715.
