Once a person is allowed to join the project, they receive the discounted prices.
The goals of the project are:
1 To connect people who do not know they are related to one another. And, prove, without a doubt, relationships. Are all families in the parish with the same surname related to one another?
2 - To find out if some of the families lived in other countries prior to moving to the Lesum-area. Are some families descended from the Swedish soldiers, or from people from Holland who were brought to the area to build the dykes? Or from Denmark? Are some families descended from men in Charlemagne's army?
3 - To discover the migration patterns the families' ancestors took out of Africa. Where did they live during the Ice Ages? How and when did they arrive in the Lesum area?
4 - Discover information on the Jewish families in the area.
5 - Discover if families that have different surnames were related prior to the adoption of surnames.
6 - Discover if there were any non-paternity events that do not show up in the parish records?
