- Are all Linn-Lehn-Lehner(en) families within Germany descended from a common ancestor?
- Are there shared etymological origins between Anglo-Saxon forms of Lehn (Lynn, Lane, Layman, etc) and German forms (Linn, Lehner, Lehnen)?
- Can Y-DNA be leveraged in the pursuit of this information?
Goal(s), generally:
- Add as many FTDNA Y-DNA tests to the Lehn surname project database
- Build out the Y-DNA philology of all Linn-Lehn-Lehner men to the fullest extent possible with current technology
- Share research information with cousins and even strangers: Create a collaborative and fun space for online users
- Fund Big Y-700 tests whenever possible (please reach out to the group admin for further inquiries on this topic)
