The Leftwich Family DNA Project is focused on male y DNA results. We are currently seeking descendants of Augustine Jr, son of Augustine Sr. Most of Augustine Sr's sons are represented by our participants in the Y-DNA results chart posted at our public website. Through this website, parties interested in contributing to the Leftwich Family Project may donate to the "general fund" to be used only for the testing of individuals whose y male DNA is critical to the Leftwich Project, and who may not have the funds available. Those interested in financial aid must submit a correct lineage record to be considered. Also, through this website, males with the surname of Leftwich may opt to participate in our family DNA project by purchasing their own DNA test kit. Once purchased, the test kit will be mailed out to each participant, complete with instructions for completing the test and returning it to Family Tree DNA.
