To establish genetic baselines and reference sources for those whose surnames contain(ed) KIMBR- as the root. Our surname has several forms and spelling variants, in use almost interchangeably by many. Some share common ancestors in our past. The forms of our name have changed by common usage, influenced by dialect and geography. This project will give us an opportunity to trace our several places of origin through DNA.
