About us
The initial purpose of this KESSLER/KESLER/KESLAR surname DNA project was to link 2 families descending from a possible common ancestor in MD/PA in the 1700s. After preliminary testing, the results show these 2 to be related as closely as 99.9%. Given these results, this surname project is open to any and all male KESSLER/KESLER/KESLAR's. The more participants, the more DNA results to compare. Ruling out a possible ancestor line is just as important as finding a new lead for one. All KESSLER/KESLER/KESLAR men are encouraged to participate and if a match is made, additional written genealogy data can be obtained from that individual. DNA testing will allow us new leads to pursue.
