The purpose of the Kendrick Surname DNA Project is to provide information that aids genealogists researching the Kendrick surname. By performing Y-DNA tests on males with the surname KENDRICK and its various spellings, we will able to build a database with the many Kendrick lines and to group them by their DNA signatures. As DNA signature groups are formed, we can compare the lineage of individuals with the lineage of others in the same group in the hope of finding links or the common ancestor between the various Kendrick families. As more people are being tested and more Kendrick are identified, we will be able to establish a genealogy DNA identifier for the Kendrick immigrant ancestor(s) or for a particular Kendrick oldest known progenitor of the line.
