1628/1635 --- Thomas Keeling arrives in Virginia aboard the ship “Hopewell”, settling by 1634 at Lower Norfolk which became Princess Anne County and is today Lynhaven, Princess Anne area, Virginia Beach City. 1634/1635: Thomas Keeling that arrived in 1628. He returned to England to marry his wife Anne Thorowgood and to bring her back to Virginia.

1775 --- Mathew Keeling comes to Maryland from Cheshire, England as an indentured servant for 4 years. Sailed aboard the ship 'Margaret and Rebecca' from London, sailing out of port 6-13 March 1775.
