The goal of this DNA project is to offer an opportunity to connect those families that are closely related but have been unable to prove connections using the records of our early frontier and the Colonial South. If you can trace your Johns' ancestry back to Kentucky or Tennessee prior to 1820; and/or North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia in the Colonial period, your participation in this study if VERY IMPORTANT.
