Basic goals of this project:
1.To bring together all descendants of the brothers,Edward and John Howcott,that arrived in Chowan Co.,North Carolina,circa 1714.
2.To either prove or disprove the two Howcott brothers' relationship to families of the same name around Lichfield,England.
3.To prove or disprove that the name in England is an Anglicization of the French surname,Harcourt.
