Welcome to the Hilliard/Hillyard Y DNA Project! PLEASE NOTE, as of 27 March 2022: If you wish to join you MUST have a FTDNA kit with results for a Y DNA test. If you have only tested using the FTDNA Family Finder test (autosomal DNA) or a mtDNA test, you will not be able to join. In this case, however, you are encouraged to test a male Hilliard/Hillyard family member, and once you have results, you can request to join the project. This surname project includes results from Y DNA tests, grouped by haplogroups and subclades, as opposed to grouping by STRs.
