The purpose of the HATTON surname DNA Study is two-fold. First, we are interested in both HATTON and HATTEN and looking for possible links between families. We are also researching the genealogy of male lines from the Royal Forest of Dean, Gloucester, England and surrounding counties including Wales. Our purpose is to try to establish the origin of most of these families.
