Thus far, a 6th cousin and myself match almost exactly. Ron Hash descends from old John's second wife and I either descend from his first wife or thru William Hash, Sr. DNA proves that we are all Hash related but----

A word of caution, DNA does not say that old John is our direct g---grandfather-- just that he is related to our g----grandfather. Ron surely descends from old John but there is question that William, Sr., from whom I descend for sure, is either a brother or son of old John.

It could be that I descend not from old John, but from his father or grandfather.
