Clann O'Hannon and the Ó hAnnáin Sept Association have organized this Surname Project to help those with a Hannon/Hannan surname. Males with the Hannon/Hannan paternal surname should consider the Y-DNA test, while both females and males (with Hannon/Hannan ancestors) should consider the mtDNA test to determine their ancestral maternal DNA haplogroups.
